Bela Infanta: A beautiful young maid sat in a garden combing her hair with a fine gold comb. She looked out towards the sea and saw a ship. The Captain approaches.

Lavaba la blanca: A fair young maid washed her laundry, washing with her tears and drying with her sighs.

John Riley: Fair young maid all in a garden, strange young man passes by.
Said fair maid would you marry me, this then sir was her reply.
